Some of the test fixture sockets are meant to fit relays with both straight pins and solder hook pins. Please be careful when inserting the pins into the socket, as the socket pins may be damaged if a relay pin is misaligned. Also, please note that although straight pins will fully engage the socket, the solder hook pins will not, and the body of the relay will sit a few mm above the socket surface. Never force the relay pins; they should fit easily into the socket, with solder hook pins requiring more force than straight pins.
From time to time the socket pins may require cleaning. Use ethanol or isopropyl alcohol with a nylon bristle brush to clean socket pins. Never use aromatic solvents such as toluene or xylene.
