MODEL RTC25
A breakthrough in design innovation brings you affordable
relay testing. Beginning at under $4000 you can have a complete parametric
test system offering full-screen data display, datalogging capability,
unlimited file capacity and completely programmable test parameters and
conditions. This new system is expandable to accommodate a wide variation
in testing requirements from low-volume incoming inspection to full-blown
relay production manufacturing.
The heart of the system is the RTC25 controller and RTC25 software. These
items come bundled in a minimum configuration package. The single-card
controller plugs into any free expansion slot of an IBM compatible personal
computer. The accompanying software provides a powerful yet friendly interface
to the operator.
Besides the personal computer, all that is required is a DC coil supply
and RUT interface. These and other options available from Markenrich allow
you to configure the system as you see fit for your particular application.
With the basic system you can do the basic Group A parametric tests. Forthcoming
adapters will let you test dielectric withstanding voltage, insulation
resistance, and contact voltage drop at up to 10 amperes.
Software Features
An extensive window-driven interface provides the tools
necessary to translate relay electrical characteristics into the appropriate
test plan. A comprehensive selection of parametric tests with programmable
conditions has been developed to make test plan definition a matter of
selecting the desired one from a menu.
After the relay characteristics and the test sequence have been defined,
measurement limits are assigned to each test. Test results are displayed
to the operator as well as stored in disk files to facilitate off-line
statistical processing. Device programs are kept in a separate directory
and are limited only by available disk space.
Hardware Features
The RTC25 instrument-on-a-card has the following functional
elements:
DC coil supply programmer
High-side coil switch
Low-level contact load supply
Contact level sense circuits
Precision time
14-bit fast analog-to-digital converter
All electrical connections to the RUT are provided on a 37-pin D-type
subminiature connector. There is also an 8-pin ribbon connector for expansion
devices.
Accessories
A compatible DC power supply that provides 80 VDC at up to 400 MA is available
as is a relay test fixture interface. Other options give additional features
like AC coil capability, high current contact load (up to 10 amperes),
and high voltage dielectric tests.
RTA5 - Test Fixture Assembly
RTA7 - DC power supply
